Electronics Technician

The technician is responsible for providing technical support and services for the installation, configuration, repair, development of electronic systems and telecommunications for our customers. He/She will travel to clients and sometimes work in our workshop located in Val-d'Or.

Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary channel of technical communication between the customer and Meglab.
• Provide technical support and listen to the customer’s needs in order to propose appropriate solutions.
• Install equipment necessary for proper system operation.
• Perform assembly and repair of various systems.
• Conduct a Field Troubleshooting to find the solution to resolve the problem and complete the repair.
• Occasionally provide training to customers on equipment and systems.
 

Mechanical Supervisor

- BE PART OF THE MINING FUTURE –

*Mining site in Chapleau, Ontario. First underground mine in Canada to replace mobile diesel equipment with battery electric vehicles (BEVs).

The mechanical supervisor is responsible for planning and supervising mechanical work on the mine site. He/She verifies and approves the work identified and the equipment required for the work. Ensures safe work environment, planning and facilitation of monthly safety meetings and shift start huddles. He/She also shares his/her knowledge to support the maintenance team in carrying out the work properly.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensures timely coordination of equipment maintenance and repair activities to maximize productivity on job sites.
• Oversees his/her work team ensuring activities are conducted in a safe and healthy environment and that policies and procedures are followed.
• Organizing and facilitating monthly safety and shift start meetings.
 

Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for calculating, preparing and issuing accounts related documents such as invoices, statements of account and other financial statements using computerized systems. He/she also handles other financial records according to established procedures.

Main responsibilities: 

* Enter invoices
* Maintain accounts in accounting software
* Record and control accounts receivable, accounts payable
* Make deposits and record vendor payments
* Contribute to synthesis reports

Automation Technician

*Rouyn-Noranda and/or Val-d'Or

*Available to travel occasionally

The Automation Technician will support the group of engineers and technicians in the design, selection of components and commissioning of automation projects. The technician will program PLCs and various systems. He/She may perform the calibration of instruments. He/She also ensures the understanding of wiring plans and the choice of equipment layout in the control panels. Take charge of automation projects.

Engineer

Our engineering department is always looking for power electrical engineer who will have the mandate to supervise, create, design and test passing equipment from simple to the complete medium and high voltage industrial network. He/She will also have to ensure the integration of innovative projects and the estimation of the implementation of these projects.
 
Responsibilities:

• Prepare plans and specifications.
• Monitor and verify installation, modification and testing of equipment and systems (internal and external).
• Investigate causes of hardware and system failures.
• Develop operational maintenance standards.
• Develop new products and technologies.
• Design, develop, program and test equipment and systems.
• Stay abreast of new technologies.
• Listen to customer needs to propose innovative solutions.
• Look for opportunities to improve your own skills.
• Answer questions from team members.

Fire Protection Mechanic

*Meglab Construction

*Work on site in Montreal or exterior

The incumbent will be responsible for the maintenance, calibration, repair, modification and installation of sprinkler systems such as water, air, foam, gas and fire pump equipment.

Electrician

*Mining sites in the Val-d'Or region and surrounding areas (4/3 schedule)

*Mining sites elsewhere in Quebec: several possibilities of schedule on rotation (7/7, 14/14)

The electrician is responsible for the installation, repair, inspection and connection of all electrical appliances, devices and circuits such as motors, generators, mechanical systems, electrical and electronic controls.

Power Electrical Technician

The power electrical technician will support the engineering group in various tasks and will participate in the design of electrical substations and industrial control equipment such as starter panels, soft starters, variable speed drives and control and protection. He/She will assist in the development of one-line diagrams, wire diagrams, physical layout diagrams, material lists and identifiers. He/She will also assist in the commissioning and maintenance of equipment in the field.

Senior Engineer - Power

The engineer supervises, creates, designs and tests simple equipment up to the complete medium and high voltage industrial network. He/she must ensure the integration of innovative projects from estimation to completion.
