Integration of our first 5 Filipino workers

Four of these workers will use their automation skills by joining the instrumentation and control team. The fifth, an electrical engineering graduate from the Philippines, will join the project management team in the electrical department.

“We are pleased to welcome these workers to our team. The many pre-employment discussions we had prior to hiring them showed their motivation to work with us. Their work experience and expertise developed over the years in the industrial sector will be of great benefit to our company. »

– Simon Bertrand, Director of Human Resources

There are many integration challenges and we are working hard to ensure that they are quickly integrated into the family. We have purchased a residence nearby to accommodate them for the first few years. At work, colleagues have been preparing for several months for their arrival.

“It’s interesting to see the collaboration that is already taking place. Our teams are proud to show the projects that are already underway and the new workers are curious to learn more. They see things in a different light and you can sense that they will bring new ideas. I believe this will develop a very rewarding work environment. “On the other hand, it’s a great opportunity for them, and also for Abitibi-Témiscamingue, to see their families moving here in a few years.

– Louis Valade, President

Within a few months, two Filipino electricians will also join our electrical manufacturing team.
