    Electrician Apprentice

    Under the supervision of the team leader, the industrial electrical apprentice is responsible for installing and connecting electrical equipment, while respecting specifications and plans for the various assemblies. 

     

    Main responsibilities and tasks:
    -  Interpret electrical and electronic product plans, specifications and assembly drawings.
    -  Install medium and low voltage equipment related to electrical distribution.
    -  Perform electrical equipment connection for new installations or replacement of existing installations.
    -  Drill, place, align and adjust parts to represent plans and photos.
    -  Follow priorities according to planning and timelines.

    Heavy Duty Mechanic

    The incumbent inspects the work and determines the nature and extent of repairs, methods, materials, tools, etc. on battery electric vehicles and heavy diesel equipment. It also helps in planning and assigning the work to be performed, with the help of the supervisor and also ensures that downtime due to mechanical problems in the production process is minimized.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    *Plan and assign the work to be done, with the help of the supervisor.
    *Develop team skills on an ongoing basis.
    *Ensure at all times that employees under his or her responsibility and/or any other employee apply health and safety policies and procedures.
    *Manage current and future parts procurement needs in collaboration with the Management and Procurement team.
    *Actively participate in health and safety meetings and facilitate meeting as required.

    The mechanical supervisor is responsible for planning and supervising mechanical work on the mine site. He/She verifies and approves the work identified and the equipment required for the work. Ensures safe work environment, planning and facilitation of monthly safety meetings and shift start huddles. He/She also shares his/her knowledge to support the maintenance team in carrying out the work properly.


    Key Responsibilities:
    • Ensures timely coordination of equipment maintenance and repair activities to maximize productivity on job sites.
    • Oversees his/her work team ensuring activities are conducted in a safe and healthy environment and that policies and procedures are followed.
    • Organizing and facilitating monthly safety and shift start meetings.

    Instrumentation and Control Technician

    The instrumentation and control technician ensures the programming and calibration of electrical and electronic instruments. They ensure that the necessary documentation is accessible and up to date to avoid construction and repair errors. They also ensure the understanding of wiring diagrams and the choice of equipment layout in control panels.

    The technician is responsible for providing technical support and services for the installation, configuration, repair, development of electronic systems and telecommunications for our customers. He/She will travel to clients and sometimes work in our workshop located in Val-d'Or.

    Responsibilities:
    • Act as the primary channel of technical communication between the customer and Meglab.
    • Provide technical support and listen to the customer’s needs in order to propose appropriate solutions.
    • Install equipment necessary for proper system operation.
    • Perform assembly and repair of various systems.
    • Conduct a Field Troubleshooting to find the solution to resolve the problem and complete the repair.
    • Occasionally provide training to customers on equipment and systems.
