Estimator

The Estimator is involved from the analysis of the client's needs to the delivery of the finished product. He/she works closely with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all estimates are realistic and accepted. He/she also ensures that the project meets the client's deadlines and standards until its completion.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

- Develop clear and precise bids tailored to the specific needs of clients.
- Estimate the quantities of materials and labor costs necessary for the project to be estimated.
- Ensure the content and mandatory documents are prepared in concert with project managers and directors for the official submission of documents.
- Design solutions tailored to client requests and establish initial contact.
- Ensure to keep their knowledge up to date in electrical matters.

Assembler - Repairer

*Workplace: Malartic (with possible travel between Val-d'Or, Rouyn-Noranda, and Malartic)
*Schedule: 4/3
*Training: Provided internally

The assembler/repairer inspects and analyzes issues with mining cables. They then carry out repairs and tests using specialized equipment and tools while adhering to established standards.

Main Responsibilities:

*Follow priorities according to planning and deadlines.
*Repair mining cables while adhering to procedures.
*Perform various tests, analyses, and corrections to ensure that the equipment meets the quality requirements and standards established by Meglab.

Electronics Technician

*Mine sites
*Rotation schedule options (4/3, 14/14)

The technician is responsible for providing technical support and services for the installation, configuration, repair, development of electronic systems and telecommunications for our customers. He/She will travel to clients and sometimes work in our workshop located in Val-d'Or.

Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary channel of technical communication between the customer and Meglab.
• Provide technical support and listen to the customer’s needs in order to propose appropriate solutions.
• Install equipment necessary for proper system operation.
• Perform assembly and repair of various systems.
• Conduct a Field Troubleshooting to find the solution to resolve the problem and complete the repair.
• Occasionally provide training to customers on equipment and systems.
 

Engineer

Location of employment :Laval

The engineer works closely with the project managers to develop the schematics and technical plans of the control panels. He/she will be responsible for supervising, creating, designing and testing unique equipment up to the full industrial network.

Key Responsibilities :
- The selection of technologies, components, and will ensure their compatibility
- Control system architecture design; Detailed design of electrical and control systems
- Programmable logic controller (PLC) programming
- Operator interface configuration (HMI and SCADA)
- Industrial networking setup
- Project commissioning (90% local, 10% elsewhere in Canada/USA)
- Drafting and preparation of technical documents relating to projects
- Training of the client's staff

Electrician

The certified electrician is responsible for the installation, repair, inspection, and connection of all electrical devices, equipment, and circuits such as motors, generators, mechanical systems, and electrical and electronic controls.

BEV Technician

Work location: Val-d’Or
Mining site (surface and underground)
Schedule: to be determined

The Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Technician is responsible for the installation, repair, inspection, and connection of all devices related to Epiroc's battery electric vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the main technical communication channel between the client and Meglab.
• Perform electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Occasionally provide training to clients on equipment and various systems.

Fire Protection Mechanic

*Meglab Construction

*Work on site in Montreal or exterior

*Full time 40h/week

The incumbent will be responsible for the maintenance, calibration, repair, modification and installation of sprinkler systems such as water, air, foam, gas and fire pump equipment.

Instrumentation and Control Technician

*Mining Site (surface and underground)
*4/3 and 7/7 Schedule

The instrumentation and control technician ensures the programming and calibration of electrical and electronic instruments. They ensure that the necessary documentation is accessible and up to date to avoid construction and repair errors. They also ensure the understanding of wiring diagrams and the choice of equipment layout in control panels.

Main Tasks:

• Program and start up various equipment and systems.
• Commission equipment and systems at the client's site.
• Adhere to safety standards during the construction, repair, and maintenance of products according to different sites.

Heavy Duty Mechanic

- PART OF THE FUTURE OF MINING -

*Chapleau Mine Site, Ontario, Canada’s first underground mine to replace mobile diesel equipment with battery electric vehicles (BEV)

*Battery electric vehicle (BEV) training

The incumbent inspects the work and determines the nature and extent of repairs, methods, materials, tools, etc. on battery electric vehicles and heavy diesel equipment. It also helps in planning and assigning the work to be performed, with the help of the supervisor and also ensures that downtime due to mechanical problems in the production process is minimized.

Primary Responsibilities:
*Plan and assign the work to be done, with the help of the supervisor.
*Develop team skills on an ongoing basis.
*Ensure at all times that employees under his or her responsibility and/or any other employee apply health and safety policies and procedures.
*Manage current and future parts procurement needs in collaboration with the Management and Procurement team.
*Actively participate in health and safety meetings and facilitate meeting as required.

Engineer

Our engineering department is always looking for power electrical engineer who will have the mandate to supervise, create, design and test unique equipment up to the complete industrial network. He/She will also have to ensure the integration of innovative projects and the estimation of the implementation of these projects.
 
Responsibilities:

• Prepare plans and specifications.
• Monitor and verify installation, modification and testing of equipment and systems (internal and external).
• Investigate causes of hardware and system failures.
• Develop operational maintenance standards.
• Develop new products and technologies.
